Sugar Cane Watercolour, Natural Line, 290 g/m², matt

Sugar cane is pressed, the juice becomes sugar, and the fibre remains. That residual fibre is used in this paper: 70% sugar-cane fibre, 30% cotton. A by-product that might otherwise be burned becomes a painting surface.

The result is a matt watercolour paper that is related to the Agave paper yet feels different — slightly softer to the touch, with a finer texture. Place the two side by side and it becomes clear why fibre composition matters as much as grammage.
